West Virginia – Hedgesville LL fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 6-0 loss to Florida – North Springs LL on Tuesday. Florida – North Springs LL scored on a home run by Jonathan Gomez and a double by Matthew Whittle in the first inning.

The West Virginia – Hedgesville LL struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Florida – North Springs LL, giving up six runs.

Florida – North Springs LL opened up scoring in the first inning. Gomez hit a solo homer.

A single by Cash Dunham in the third inning was a positive for West Virginia – Hedgesville LL.

Gabe Rodrigo got the start for Florida – North Springs LL. The ace lasted six innings, allowing four hits and zero runs while striking out four.

Kolton Stefanko led things off on the mound for West Virginia – Hedgesville LLStefanko allowed seven hits and four runs over three and a third innings. Mason Elliott and Trenton Knieriem entered the game as relief, throwing two innings and one and two-thirds innings respectively.

Florida – North Springs LL launched two home runs on the day. Gomez had a homer in the first inning. Whittle had a four bagger in the fourth inning.
