Six runs in the second inning led Florida – North Springs LL past South Carolina – Irmo LL 10-1 on Saturday. Florida – North Springs LL offense in the inning was led by Matthew WhittleBrady Shimek, and Breylynn Courtney, who each had RBIs in the inning.

South Carolina – Irmo LL got things started in the first inning when Tripp Bollibon grounded out, scoring one run.

Florida – North Springs LL scored six runs in the second inning. The rally was led by a single by Shimek, a home run by Whittle, and by Courtney.

Andrew Raucci led things off on the mound for Florida – North Springs LL. The ace allowed zero hits and one run over two innings, striking out three.

Trevin Garner led things off on the hill for South Carolina – Irmo LL. The pitcher allowed two hits and five runs over one inning, striking out one. Luke BeckerJake JesterLance Jensen, and Bollibon each entered the game as relief, throwing one and two-thirds innings, one and one-third innings, one and one-third innings, and two-thirds of an inning respectively.

Florida – North Springs LL hit one home run on the day. Whittle had a homer in the second inning.
