Virginia – Central Accomack Little League snagged a late lead and defeated West Virginia – Shinnston Little League 8-6 on Tuesday. The game was tied at six with Virginia – Central Accomack Little League batting in the bottom of the sixth when Luke Parks homered on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.

Both offenses were strong at the plate as Virginia – Central Accomack Little League collected seven hits and West Virginia – Shinnston Little League ten in the high-scoring affair

Virginia – Central Accomack Little League captured the lead in the first inning when Brandon Adamos singled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs.

In the bottom of the second inning, Virginia – Central Accomack Little League tied things up at six. Zykeese Davis singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run.

West Virginia – Shinnston Little League scored three runs in the second inning. West Virginia – Shinnston Little League scored its runs on a home run by Payton Hawkins.

Tyler Greene was the winning pitcher for Virginia – Central Accomack Little League. He allowed seven hits and six runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking zero. Dylan Ross threw five and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen. Ross recorded the last 16 outs to earn the save for Virginia – Central Accomack Little League.

Coby Gorby took the loss for West Virginia – Shinnston Little League. He lasted four and two-thirds innings, allowing five hits and six runs while striking out two.

Virginia – Central Accomack Little League smacked one home run on the day. Parks had a homer in the sixth inning.

Virginia – Central Accomack Little League tallied seven hits. Parks and Ross each had multiple hits for Virginia – Central Accomack Little League. Ross and Parks each collected two hits to lead Virginia – Central Accomack Little League.

West Virginia – Shinnston Little League tallied ten hits on the day. Brayden Arcuri and Michael Martin all managed multiple hits for West Virginia – Shinnston Little League.
