West Virginia – Shinnston Little League won big over North Carolina – Walkertown Little League 8-1 on Monday.

West Virginia – Shinnston Little League tallied three runs in the sixth inning. Payton Hawkins, Michael Martin, and Logan Hostuttler each had RBIs in the frame.

Kodi Shingleton took the win for West Virginia – Shinnston Little League. He allowed four hits and one run over four and a third innings, striking out two. Levi Moore threw two and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen. Moore recorded the last eight outs to earn the save for West Virginia – Shinnston Little League.

Reily Porto took the loss for North Carolina – Walkertown Little League. He surrendered five runs on nine hits over three and a third innings, striking out one.

West Virginia – Shinnston Little League tallied 14 hits on the day. Hostuttler, Hawkins, Jeremiah Carpenter, and Martin each managed multiple hits for West Virginia – Shinnston Little League. Hawkins and Hostuttler each collected three hits to lead West Virginia – Shinnston Little League.
