Monday’s game against Florida – Land O’Lakes Little League was a heartbreaker for Tennessee – Smith County Little League, as they lost the lead late in a 3-2 defeat. The game was tied at one with Florida – Land O’Lakes Little League batting in the top of the ninth when an error scored one run for Florida – Land O’Lakes Little League.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Florida – Land O’Lakes Little League pitchers struck out six, while Tennessee – Smith County Little League sat down seven.

In the bottom of the third inning, Tennessee – Smith County Little League tied things up at one when an error scored one run for Tennessee – Smith County Little League.

Cade Knouse was the winning pitcher for Florida – Land O’Lakes Little League. He surrendered one run on two hits over two and a third innings, striking out two. Dylan Broderick and Max Folkman entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Folkman recorded the last ten outs to earn the save for Florida – Land O’Lakes Little League.

Landon Baker took the loss for Tennessee – Smith County Little League. He allowed three hits and one run over two and two-thirds innings, striking out three.

Tennessee – Smith County Little League racked up six hits on the day. Evin Graber and Brant Turner all collected multiple hits for Tennessee – Smith County Little League. Turner and Graber each collected two hits to lead Tennessee – Smith County Little League.
