North Carolina – Walkertown Little League watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in an 8-0 loss to Virginia – Central Accomack Little League on Saturday. Virginia – Central Accomack Little League took the lead on a single in the first inning.

The North Carolina – Walkertown Little League struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Virginia – Central Accomack Little League, giving up eight runs.

Virginia – Central Accomack Little League got things started in the first inning. Tyler Greene singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

One bright spot for North Carolina – Walkertown Little League was a single by Luke Tucker in the first inning.

Cade Williams was the winning pitcher for Virginia – Central Accomack Little League. He surrendered zero runs on one hit over three and a third innings, striking out five and walking one. Everett Savage and Brandon Adamos entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Savage recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Virginia – Central Accomack Little League.

Evan Faw took the loss for North Carolina – Walkertown Little League. He allowed six hits and six runs over three and a third innings, striking out three and walking one.

Tucker led North Carolina – Walkertown Little League with three hits in four at bats.

Virginia – Central Accomack Little League tallied nine hits in the game. Jake Meilhammer, Greene, and Armonte Dickerson each had multiple hits for Virginia – Central Accomack Little League. Meilhammer went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Virginia – Central Accomack Little League in hits. Virginia – Central Accomack Little League didn’t commit a single error in the field. Luke Parks had 13 chances in the field, the most on the team.
